Deluxe Uganda Safari

Today you head west to one of Uganda’s smallest national park. As you enter the park, you will go on a game drive in search of wildlife. Common animals you may see there include; antelopes, zebras, waterbucks, and elands. Later, after dinner, you will check into the lodge for the night.

Following a hearty breakfast, you will travel to the mountain gorillas’ habitat through the scenic western Ugandan countryside. Upon arriving at the lodge, you will be greeted and welcomed, thereafter have a late lunch. You may later can decide to go on a community tour to get a feel for their way of life.

After a leisurely breakfast in the early morning, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before being led by an experienced ranger into the dense forest in search of mountain gorillas. There, you’ll watch the gorillas go about their daily lives and, with any luck, get a close-up look if you’re lucky. You will take part in a tour to the Batwa pigmy village in the afternoon to learn about their way of life.

As part of your wildlife experience, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth’s southern sector, where you can go on a game drive in search of wildlife and see lions that can scale trees.

After breakfast, you’ll go on a game drive in Ishasha in search of more wildlife, and then you’ll go on to the Mweya area of the park for yet another wildlife encounter. You will take a boat ride on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon for an aquatic safari experience. You will see hippos, crocodiles, a variety of bird species, as well as visiting wildlife like elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, and antelopes. After your boat ride, you will return to the lodge for the night.

You’ll travel on a game drive in the morning in search of wildlife, including lions, elephants, cape buffalo, warthogs, leopards, hyenas, waterbuck, Ugandan kob, and many others. You will later proceed to Kibale Forest, the biggest home some of the world’s primates.

Today you will embark on a trekking adventure in search of the well-known chimpanzees. As you watch them leave their nests and forage around the forest, you will also be on the lookout for other important primate species, such as vervet monkeys and black colobus monkeys.

Your safari will come to an end with a journey back to Entebbe.
